Shule Programme: seven schools visited and materials distributed

In August 2025 the School Programme Coordinator, accompanied by civil service volunteers Lucia and Alessia, visited seven of the eight secondary schools in the Shule Programme — Wella, Viwandani, Lukundo, Itega, Chikole, Miyuji and Makole.

School visits are a key component of the programme. They allow CMSR-TZ staff to monitor students' attendance, academic performance and wellbeing, to verify that sponsorship funds have been applied correctly, and to identify contextual factors that affect students' performance. They also build trust and long-term relationships with schools and local communities.

During the visits, learning materials — notebooks, textbooks, uniforms and stationery — were distributed equally among all students in the programme, and teachers' meetings were held to review student records and attendance.
