Classroom and administration blocks roofed at Sekondari ya Kilimo, Bara

Construction of the agricultural secondary school at Bara farm, Songwe Region, progressed well during 2025. Foundation walls and over-site concrete slabs were completed in full, walling for four classrooms reached ring-beam level and roofing of both the classroom blocks and the administration block is nearly complete.

A total of 19,400 burnt bricks were mobilised on site, along with six trips of sand and twelve trips of aggregates, and water pipes were laid over 600 metres from the riverside to supply the construction works.

The next stages will cover painting and decoration, the water pump, solar panels and energy storage systems for the classrooms and administration blocks.
