Help for Women Entrepreneurship with an Ecological Address — Rulenge
Murugaragara, Rulenge — Ngara District, Kagera Region
An ecological entrepreneurship project in Murugaragara, Rulenge (Ngara District, Kagera Region) building the capacity of rural women and men in jatropha cultivation, soap production, health and rights — supported by CEI.
Known locally as KISAJAMU (Kikundi cha Sabuni za Jatropha Murugaragara), this project grew out of a small factory that produces soap by hand and grinds grain using a Lister Petter engine fuelled by jatropha seed oil. It is implemented by CMSR-TZ with the Little Brothers of Jesus fraternity and was approved by the Bishop of Rulenge-Ngara in 2023. Implementation officially started on 8 October 2024.
